DEAF ACCESS Washington is accredited for Community Mental Health Services through the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services / Division of Mental Health. DEAF ACCESS Washington contracts with School Districts , Private Agencies, the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development / Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services / Division of Children and Family Services and Division of Mental Health to provide:
Counseling and Psychotherapy: An individual plan of support developed collaboratively with the consumer, other people identified by the consumer, which address the consumer's age, culture, disability and includes measurable goals toward rehabilitation, recovery and reintegration into the mainstream of social, employment and educational choices that involves other systems when appropriate.
Case Management: An age and culturally appropriate individual plan of support developed collaboratively with the consumer and other people identified by the consumer that address the consumer's need for housing, food, income, health care, dental care, transportation, work, school, social life and other daily activities.
Psychiatric and Medication Management: The assessment and prescription of psychotropic medications appropriate to the diagnosis and treatment of the consumer. Medication management includes the informed consent of the consumers for the use of psychotropic medications, the prescription name and dosage, the dates prescribed, their side-effects, interactions with other mediations and the reasons for changing or stopping a mediation.
Employment Services: Assistance to consumers enrolled in counseling and psychotherapy to help them achieve their goals identified in their individual service plan by providing access to employment activities. Provides an assessment of the consumer's work history, skills, education, and personal career goals including information about how employment may affect income and benefits the consumer is receiving if they have a disability. Work with the consumer's employer to ensure reasonable accommodations to support stable employment and coordinate efforts with other rehabilitation and employment programs.
